I need to list all the customers and sum the number of each product sold to them in the last period (1 month for instance). The closest I've been is to display the sale journal, export its content to a CSV file and manipulate the data in Excel to get the numbers that I'm looking for. Is there a smarter way to do that? Should I create a new view? Note that I'm using the V7 SAAS version of OpenERP.

Use the reporting menuand a report based on sales order, invoices or delivery order.
E.g. Reporting / Accounting / Invoice Analysis
From this menu, us the extended search dropdown to group by customers and product (the small arrow in the right of the search box)
