I want to change the Quotation, Order, Invoice sequence numbers according to our company conventions and also continue the numbering from previous.
So how should i go about doing it and also is there any way to change the layout of the various documents like Quotation, Order, Invoice sequence numbers ?

this solution is available for all version of odoo 6.1, 7 and 8 :

Hello Pi. In Odoo 10 (and I presume 9) you must be in developer mode first. Then from your SETTINGS app, ->Technical->Sequences & Identifiers->Sequences.
From here you have full control over your numbering.
