Dear Community,

I only work with the Purchase app but for some reason the setup seems wrong. When I have sent an order there is no option to cancel or notify that I have received the goods.

Instead I can chose to create an invoice which does not make sense at all.


This is just a test order because I want to avoid that it happens with a real order. Also, as I do not seem to have the "Received goods" option as shown in the FAQ's my orders cannot be completed/closed.

Wow, thank you so much, it helped tremendously though I had to search a bit as I work with a German setting. If I manually confirm the received quantities it does work.

Since you are using only purchase app and not inventory, you would need to validate your settings

1. Bill Control - If set to Ordered quantities you wouldn't need to record receipt to create bill. However, if you set to Received Qty, then make sure to also enable 3-way matching.


2. Record receipt - If 3 way match is enabled, you would be able to view received and billed field on the purchase order lines. Received field is editable and you will be able to record the qty received.

Once received qty is updated a bill is created for the increment qty.

To have goods reeipt you need to install the Inventory app.

There should be a button "Cancel" next to Create Bill and Send PO Mail in the header.  Strange if you don't have it.  Which version do you use.  Picture here from V16
