Hi,

I'm using Odoo17, I cannot change new Saudi Riyal currency symbol in my system. Is there any way to add the same?

Thanks but there is no setup file , only i use WinRAR to extract
what should i do

A setup file is not required. You can simply download the file, add it to the addons path, and install the module. May I know which Odoo version you are using?

✅ Steps to Add Saudi Riyal (SAR) in Odoo 17

  1. Go to Accounting App
    Open the Accounting module from your Odoo dashboard.
  2. Enable Developer Mode
    • Click on your name (top-right corner) → Settings
    • Scroll down and click Activate the Developer Mode
  3. Go to Currencies
    • In Accounting module, go to:
      Configuration → Currencies
  4. Search for Saudi Riyal (SAR)
    • If it's already listed, you can just activate it by clicking on it and enabling the Active checkbox.
    • If it’s not listed, click Create.
  5. Create Saudi Riyal Manually (if needed)
    Fill in the details:
    • Name: Saudi Riyal
    • Symbol: ﷼
    • Currency Code: SAR
    • Position: After Amount (optional)
    • Rounding Factor: 0.01
    • Active: ✅
  6. Save the currency.
  7. (Optional) Set SAR as your company’s default currency
    • Go to Settings → Companies
    • Choose your company → set Currency to Saudi Riyal (SAR)
