In Odoo 16, I am exploring the implementation of service contracts that cover service and maintenance for each customer's devices, with invoicing done on a monthly basis. I am considering using the Field Service, Subscription, and Ticket modules. However, I have encountered the following challenges:

  1. Tracking Serial Numbers of Devices:
    It is crucial to track the services performed on each device's serial number before visiting the machine. While we use serial numbers on worksheets, it seems impossible to generate reports based on them. More importantly, I believe each machine should be treated as a distinct entity in Odoo, identified by its unique serial number. This would enable us to trace the items replaced, repairs conducted, and the number of services completed for that specific machine.
  2. Issue with Projects and Tasks in Field Service Module:
    When creating a product with the type set as Service and the policy for creating a project and task enabled, you are required to specify the type of project. I set this to the Field Service type. However, when a new project is created, all the tasks from the Field Service project are copied into the new project, even though they are unrelated to the customer.

Any assistance or insights into resolving these issues would be greatly appreciated.
