Hello guys,

I am working on my new website for my professional activity, and i accidentaly published my website, that is now available to the public.

How can i undo this and keep it private until it is 100% ready?

Thanks in advance for your help.

In Odoo, a website cannot be fully unpublished. The pages that remain accessible will depend on the applications installed and active in your database. However, there are a couple of alternative solutions to restrict access:

  1. You can configure your DNS to block the website. This is an external process that must be managed through your domain provider or server settings.
  2. Another approach is to create a second website, remove all its pages, and set it as the primary website. This will make it appear as if the original site is blocked. Additionally, for controllers, you can create redirects to prevent access.

Hi Damien,

you just move to the starting page of your website (when logged in) and click on the publish/unpublish button near the upper right corner. This is the easy way to do it.

Best regards,

Jens
