Hi, first of all thanks to all in this community.

I have the following problem:

- we buy oatmeal in 25Kg bags,

- we sell in ecommerce in 500g, 1Kg or the whole bag.

- we need to know how many bags of oatmeal are left (or Kgs) in order to buy more (keep stock)

here is what I did following a tutorial called something like 'wine by the glass':

1) Created a product called '25Kg Oatmeal bag' that is Storable and uses a UOM called 25Kg Bag that is 25 ratio bigger that Kg (reference uom)

2) Created a product Called 'Oatmeal' that is Consumable with 3 variants, 500g, 1Kg and 25Kg. And on inventory I added that those follow the 'Manufacture' route.

3) Created a BOM on the 2 product that uses the 25Kg bag as a material to manufacture the variant.(0,02 parts or 0,04 or 1 part of the bag and) depending on the variant.

So now each time a purchase is made no BOM is created, so there is no deduction on the stock of Oatmeal... not sure what I am doing wrong or if I am missing something.. also not sure if this is the best way to handle our company inventory. All help is much much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
