So we are running Odoo Community 10
Catchall is set up and works great. Projects can be created and the emails all go to the right place. The catchall is set up with a completely separate domain name so we are able to do support for multiple companies. Lets call it whitelabelsupport.com. Our employees all have email addresses on their account of name@ourcompany.com. I am trying to set up personal aliases so whenever they email through the system the recipient sees one of two things. tech1@whitelabelsupport.com tech2@whitelabelsupport.com or better yet a single email that still has a way to find it back to the right person support@whitelabel.com.
Currently the recipient gets employeename@ourcompany.com and when the recipient responds it does not even go back to odoo it goes to the ourcompany.com email server and directly to the employee. Therefore it will bypass the chatter which is not good.
I read the mixins write up on how catchall works and tried to follow a few user alias guides but nothing seemed to work. I saw one piece where it said to put in the user_id but not only did it not show where I have no clue where to even find the user_id. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
