Every task goes through different phases. At each phase there's a different due date. Here some ideas I've come up with, but I would love to see if there are any alternatives I might not be thinking of.

  1. Change the due date manually at each phase.

    1. Pros: It's simple. Doesn't require any customization (via studio)

    2. Cons: It's not great for tracking. Not great for context because there isn't a clear indication that the due date is for the previous, current, or next phase.

  2. Add custom due dates via studio.

    1. Pros: Great for tracking. Can rename due dates for context (example: Design due date, feedback due date). Can hide/unhide due dates based on phase (via studio).

    2. Cons: May need further customization. Need to customize kanban view to reflect accurate due date based on different phase. May need to customize other areas of Odoo.

Anyone have a better idea of how to approach this?

Hi Andres:

You can create sub tasks - one for each due date.

You can enable this feature by going to Project > Configuration > Settings and enabling Sub-tasks in the Tasks Management section. This will allow you to create sub-tasks within each task of a Project.
