The issue I am having is that you don’t seem to be able to create tags on customers and products, instead you can have labels. The labels for products and customers work independently from each other so it is difficult to cross reference the data across all the apps. However, you cannot filter any accounting reports by these labels, only by the tags in the accounting app but these only work for invoices.
I was expecting to be able to set up all
products and customers with default tags that would filter through in to
invoices or purchases when the customer of product was selected. From here you
would be able to edit or change the tags that appeared as well as adding any
other relevant tags. However, from looking at the version of Odoo we have this
doesn’t appear possible. This would enable us to pin point exact categories of
data from across all aspects of the business, which is where Sage currently
falls short, which would be perfect to implement all the reports we require.
