Setup: Inventory > Move Entire Packages set to true

Scenario: during transfer of package from one inventory location to another, one unit in the pack is damaged and needs to be scrapped.  business policy is to continue the transfer with original package minus the scrapped unit.

I did the usual scrap but it looks like i corrupted my records (demo db, dont worry)

Any suggestions on how best way to handle business requirement? Thanks
