In the front page of openerp.com I found three types of OpenERP apps

  1. Online
  2. x.x (ex. 7.0, 6.1...etc)
  3. trunk

What's the difference between them?

I can't see the difference between "Online" apps and "7.0" because in OpenERP 7.0 the official client is the web client so all the apps should be "Online" to be able to work under OpenERP 7.0

These types are filters. They show you which apps are available under different versions:

  • Online means the app is available on OpenERP's cloud platform.
  • 6.1, 7.0,... means the app is available for OpenERP 6.1, 7.0,... that you would install on your own server.
  • trunk means the app is available on the development branch of OpenERP which corresponds to the next version.
