I made a sales order and delivered the products. So for the delivered products, I created a return. So in sales order I see 2 Deliveries: one is the original delivery and the second is the return of the products. Now that the products are correctly returned, I still cannot "cancel" the sales order because it says: "You cannot cancel a stock move that has been set to 'Done'" but the products were returned and the return is linked to the same sales order. Is there a workaround for this? Please advice
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Accounting
- Inventory
- PoS
- Project
- MRP

Why do you want to cancel the Sales Order? It wasn't cancelled in the real world. It was delivered. It was returned. You have a record of what happened in the real world. The order was placed, it was delivered, it was returned.
Ray, you are right. in the real world it is normal. using odoo it is strange that this sale order (if invoicing policy delivered) will be still like not done and still not invoiced. check by yourself and think, how to improve really this, because in a lot of my customers, we have make improvements, because 'orders to invoice' and etc is showing noncence after that...
Hi everyone. I have the same issue. Is there any workaround?
Thanks for reply in advance
I have the very same issue and doubt about a return, the invoice i can cancel it, the printout from warehouse i can make a return, but the SO still is in state " for sale" so it sums for the vendor. How can it get a state " returned" or cancel it when the return is made?
Ray,
If I get sales reports for commissions, etc, the reports would take into account sales orders that were returned right? that wouldn't be real. Or how can I exclude from the report sales orders that were returned? I think there should be a status called "Returned" in sales orders if the order was returned. Please advice.
