I'd like to know if there are any differences regarding module development between the Community and the Enterprise editions.
Furthermore, can I deploy a module I am developing and testing with the Community Edition source on my company's Enterprise production environment, or is it necessary for me to set up an environment with the Enterprise source?

Actually there is no difference in development in Odoo community and Enterprise. If you develop a module in community edition and if you deploy it in enterprise edition sometimes it will get worked or otherwise you may get some errors. It depends on the module and its code,
As you already have enterprise code in your hand, will suggest you to set up or use enterprise edition itself in the development environment.
