I have defined a very simple redirect (under Website/Configuration/Redirects) from "/shop" to other pages (including "/","/shop/cart", etc), but, it does nothing when I access /shop. I've restarted the server, but, no change.
I've tried using the "Moved permanently" and "Moved temporarily" options, but, nothing seems to work. Odoo 12.

Redirects in the Website Module is used to Redirect the "Pages", you can see a working example here in this video: V12 Introduce Website Redirect ( Redirect your NewPages | Renamed Pages)
As 301 redirection is used to tell the search engines that a page has permanently moved, it ensures that you keep the rankings earned by the old page and prevent duplicate content.
