I hope there is somebody out there who can give me a hint what's wrong here.

My website is setup for German as the main language and English as an additional language. Everything so far works with the exception of the main menu.

In the main language the main menu (upper right side of the frontend) shows as it is supposed to do.

As soon as I switch to the second language the main menu disappears. This happens only when using urls (e.g. www.example.com). As soon as I use the IP instead (e.g. 1.1.1.1) to call my website the menu is back again.

I had a hard time to figure this out, because I develop the website on my LAN (using IPs of course where everthing works with http and https) and WAN with different IP, but as soon as I deploy to the standard IP and use normal urls the menu disappears.

Now I found another entry on the turkish Odoo site (https://www.odoo.com/tr_TR/forum/yardim-1/website-menu-disappears-when-changing-language-in-website-183050) where someone else explains the same behavior but was asked for additional information and hasn't done that. That lacks any further help.

My Odoo is running on a Bitnami stack as a contained system in a VM (VMware). I have another system setup with Arch Linux but also running the Bitnami stack as a contained system. Both are online whereas the one version for testing is setup to be only accessible from my home IP. This system I was always accessing via the IP directly which worked. I just asked for this reason my provider to switch my urls from one IP to the other (two different underlying operating systems which I first suspected to be the problem). But I had to experience now the same problem with the new IP and the former used IP is working normal now (IP, not url).

The version is Bitnami Odoo 13 from September 2020 - if that helps...
