Hi,

I’ve noticed that there doesn’t seem to be a virtual IoT Box installation available for Odoo 19 community.

Is there a specific reason why Odoo 19 doesn’t include a virtual IoT installation option?

Was it discontinued, replaced with another method, or just not released yet?

Would appreciate any insight or official clarification on this.

Hello Jamal,

The official documentation is in the process of being updated with the correct link to download the virtual IoT Box for Odoo 19. Now, it has its own separate installer. You can find it here: https://nightly.odoo.com/master/nightly/iot/odoo_iot_setup_19.1a1.latest.exe

Hope it answers your questions and, if not, don't hesitate to open a support ticket.

Hi,

The IoT system is part of Odoo 19. That means you can connect IoT devices (printers, scanners, etc.) through an IoT system.

Refer:https://www.odoo.com/documentation/19.0/applications/general/iot.html

There is still a Windows Virtual IoT option. That means you can set up an IoT system on a Windows machine

Refer:https://www.odoo.com/documentation/19.0/applications/general/iot/windows_iot.html

The “IoT box” (physical device) is also documented.

Refer: https://www.odoo.com/documentation/19.0/applications/general/iot/iot_box.html

Hope it helps.
