Hi Guys,

I have one parent company and three subsidiaries.

I have created a supplier in one of the subsidiaries but that vendor reflects in all companies. The vendor should only be visible in the subsidiary.

I have tried the below

1. inserted the company in the vendor

2. Restrict the user to a company.

the user can select a product and supplier which belongs to different companies which he has not to access too.

I am sure I'm missing something basic here?

I cannot deactivate common contacts settings as this will be required for intercompany transactions

Go to Settings > General Settings, and make sure "Common Contact Book" is unchecked in the "Multi-companies" section.

Hi,

But this setting is a prerequisite for intercompany setup

As far as I know, it's not a pre-requisite for intercompany setup. You have to select (check) "Common Contacts" only if you want to share the contacts across all the companies. If you want the contacts to be specific to a company, "Common Contacts" should not be checked. Hope that helps.
