Imagine selling custom created area rugs, for example, where you measure the area in the client's home and quote the product based on customer's size request. The product isn't manufactured until the width, size, material, color, and additional options are submitted for production but need to quote on the front end. All above variants will affect cost during quote.

To tackle this issue, you can integrate custom attributes such as Size, Material, Width, Color, etc. These attributes are dynamic and creating separate products for each variation is not feasible. One option is to use Lot/Serial Numbers to handle these variations and calculate the price based on the attribute values along with a margin. I have implemented a similar solution for a duct manufacturing company and have attached a screenshot for your reference. Although this functionality is not natively available in Odoo, it can be achieved through customization.
