If I setup a shipping method to "free if order amount is over $ 50", if an order is over $ 50 and the customer pays with a gift card and the balance falls below the $ 50, no delivery costs may be charged.
Gifcards need to be consider like payment methods and not discounts (free shipping over order amount and not amount due).
