Hi every one. I have installed last year Odoo on a Ubuntu 16.04 LTS Linux server and after some time we notice that a user can't login even if the admin (me) reset the password. The only (frustrating) way the user can login is to send passwords instructions by email. the other user can login easy without any problem.

Hello Joel Germany,
There could be following possibility when you are not able to login.
1. You might be checking in wrong database which might have different user or login credentials
or
2. If you are logged in with different database on 1 tab and you are trying to login with different database on same browser on different tab, which will take you out from the login, and will give the error session expired.
or
3. You might be making mistakes on entering user name or password (Typo mistake)
This might help you to figure out your issue.

Thank you for your answers... When I started investigations, I started with this \post then I noticed no luck at all it does not work!.. I tried step by step what you advised me... in last installed pgAdmin for more investigations. As I only have one database it was easy to do... the fact is that there were a mistake with the long user name (one letter missing)... sorry for that and thank you for your help

Please provide more infos, such as log entries.
Make sure password reset in correct database.
