As @Kenta pointed out, I fix this problem deactivating «portal» and «public» user settings.

I think those flags are traps for novices :-/

I had access issues when I installed Project - I uninstalled it re-installed it.

However I would first suggest you,

1) Check the others have access rights - in Setting>User>User>Access Rights Tab>Application

and the Access rights in Setting>Technical>Security>Access Controls List>Search Project

If that doesnt work

2) Setting>Modules>Installed Module>Project Management and Upgraded

If that doesnt work

3) Setting>Modules>Installed Module>Project Management and Unistall then a re-install, followed by 1) above

Good luck!

I've installed OpenERP 7 for testing, deffined a couple of users and assigned each to their corresponding human resources entry.

But realized that the users can't see each other when trying to send emails, nor in the contacts entry. Try creating a sales department with those users but they can't even know who belongs to the sales department, they only see themselves.

I've been checking the menu entries that are sugested above, but don't know how to change this situation. Could you point me to somewhere for further reading about this issue?

Thanks/Regards.

Please, dismiss my previous comment ... already found the solution in this thread

https://bugs.launchpad.net/openobject-server/+bug/1021378

which reffers to "1- An OpenERP user (as employee) can't be a Portal user, nor an Anonymous user and "Vice Versa"."

Now it is working as expected, will make further thests.

Great, I did excactly the same and struggling to find the issue.

I also finally found the reason behind the problem. A user must not have settings "portal" if you expect him to do normal things in system.
