I am now stuck in limbo.  I closed a session, but cannot now validate because "

You cannot use this account (101406 Outstanding Receipts) in this journal, check the section 'Control-Access' under tab 'Advanced Settings' on the related journal.

First, there are no outstanding receipts.

Second, how do I now configure this account for use in POS?  (Please read on before you waste my time explaining things that I already know)

I went to journal for the POS, and the "allowed account types" and "allowed accounts" are both blank, which should mean that all account types and individual accounts are allowed.  In fact ALL of my journals are blank for Control-Access.

Also.  I now have a new app in my desktop that I did not request (Accounting).  Previously, I tried to add that (a very long time ago),but opted against because I do not want to pay for that.  I hope you do not plan to bill me for the app that I did not request or manually add.

I need IMMEDIATE HELP because as of now, I have a business with no means of making sales entries.

I later went into the journal in Control-Access and allowed ALL Journals, just in case leaving it blank had a hiccup. Still have the same problem. In the Outstanding Receipts account I also allowed all journals, I still cannot close and validate (now "close and post") the POS, so I am still stuck in limbo, because I have already closed at the first level, so I cannot go back and resume selling.

So, it turns out that an error I had in my accounting  (I did not have accounting as noted previously, so I was able to access journals, but not the chart of accounts) and thus was unable to properly link accounts and journals...something was linked to a journal that was accepted before the update, but is no longer possible after the update.   I had to delete said account from the linked journal access.
