Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble connecting my self-hosted n8n instance to my self-hosted Odoo CRM. I can access Odoo through the web interface, create deals, and generally use it without issues. However, when I try to connect Odoo as a data source/service in n8n, I get an error saying "Couldn't connect with these settings: Credentials are not valid."

I'm using the correct URL for my Odoo instance, the admin username, and API key.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?

We had the same issue for a client recently when trying to connect n8n to Odoo. The solution for me was simple actually, so hope this helps;

  1. we activated Developer Mode in Odoo (Settings → Activate Developer Mode).
  2. Then look at your user profile (top-right) and type that database name into the database name in n8n; 
  3. I used that exact database name in the n8n credentials setup, and it worked right away.
