Dear All,

I have set up a product with a multi-level BOM, but I have no routes which trigger the MO of the below level products; I have read that I have to activate "Make to Order" and "Manufacture" for the lower level products, but it does not work. Hence I wonder if anyone can help me with the correct setup of routes. Please see below the rough structure:

Final Product consists of,

  • Product A (Manufacturing Order (MO))

  • Product B (Purchase Order)

  • Product C (Purchase Order)

Product A consists of,

  • Product D (Manufacturing Order)

Product D consists of,

  • Product E (Manufacturing Order)

Product E consists of,

  • Product F (Purchase Order)

In relation to it, I have read that you have to run the scheduler from the Inventory app to trigger the creation of the mentioned MOs. I was thinking of creating an automation which triggers the scheduler in the backend everytime a MO is created.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Philipp,

Make sure products A, D, and E are configured this way:

- Product Type = Stockable

- Make To Order is ticked

- Manufacture is ticked

- And each of them has at least one valid BOM

You will normally not need to run the scheduler everytime. Odoo should automatically generate sub assembly orders (ie subsequent MOs).
