When adding an order line towards and SO or invoice the TAX line stays empty. But even tough the default taxes are set ?

You can try setting the tax in the product template , Check if the tax type in Accouting > Configutation > Taxeshas the Tax Type = Sales When creating inoice from Sales > Create Invoice > Select Regular InvoiceFuthermore, make sure Chart of Accouts location is created properly.You can try install dummy accouting localication for reference.

Please check Product Tax Settings: Open the product form and confirm that the tax category or Customer Taxes are properly assigned.
