I am using Odoo version 18.
I am in the catering industry. I want to update my stock with each sale.
Let me explain, when I sell a rice dish, I want my plate stock to be updated automatically according to the number of dishes sold.

Depending on how you make the sale.
If you use POS, when the POS order is validated, the delivery order will be created and confirmed and the stock moves are processed and thus your plate stock will be updated automatically.
If you just use the sale order, when you confirmed the saleorder, the delivery will be created but you will need to confirm them. You can use Automated action to confirmed these delivery orders automatically when a sale order is confirmed.
Normally, all the customization i did in code of a customized module so I can keep track of the business rules
