Hello,

I have a question regarding the online store:

Although some of our products are currently out of stock (quantity on hand = 0), they are still automatically displayed on our webstore.

How can I tell the system to only display the products we actually have in stock?

Any hint?

Thank you

Mike

Hello Pinakin,

Thank you for your reply!

I have a question regarding your answer: Even if I set a warning message, the order process can still be executed.

Is it not possible to display the products with a warning and deactivate the "put into cart" button?

Thank you.

Best,

Mike

You can display warning on product like "Out of stock" , to configure this in v10 go to products > under Sales tab "Availability" section, where you can put warning.

In v10 there is no any simple way to restrict the products those are out of stock. But there is warning message that will give warn your customers when they are buying from store.

Also to restrict product is not an easy it s all depends on your product configuration (reordering rules,...).

You can also check Odoo's app store and look at modules such as https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/10.0/website_sale_stock_status/ for example.

Thank you, but I forgot to mention that we are SaaS customer.

You can deactivate the "put into cart" button" by switching the product to "archived" state.
In the product form, switch the Active button to Archived (not to be confused with Published). Additionally in the Sales tab, you can set an Availability  warning.
