Hi everyone,

I have recently installed the Social Marketing app and after adding the Twitter account that I try to manage, I'm getting the following error message:

You currently have access to a subset of Twitter API v2 endpoints and limited v1.1 endpoints (e.g. media post, oauth) only. If you need access to this endpoint, you may need a different access level. You can learn more here:..

I was checking in Twitter developer page, and I understand I need to move to API V2 free version. How do I do that in Odoo? I don't see any configuration option for that.

Thanks.

Jose, nice to connect with you!

I'm having the same issue, and I'm looking for a solution for about a month.

If you have any update please left a message here since there's no information on the entire internet right now about this problem.

Thank you.

Nico.

I am not sure how this issue got solved, but I am using On Premise version and it is not solved !

When I try to login to X from Marketing Social, there is an error with :

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete
your request. Either the server is overloaded or there is an error in
the application.

This does not look like a fixed error.

Any clue on how you have managed to fix this ?

Thx

ask with a support ticket to Odoo. And I got the following answer:

What this means is that you need a Twitter pro account (X) to be able to link you need a different access level (a pro account). This happens also with LinkedIn, where you need a Premium account (developer account). This is because you need to get your App ID and App secret from under the app settings -> auth and then add App ID and App secret to Odoo.

I hope this has been useful for you. Here is more information about it:

The twitter api version it's hardcoded into the module.

If you wanna solve this issue you will need to get your hands on it, my hands... or wait for Odoo to migrate to the new Twitter V2 API which is possible only comming for future releases Odoo like v17 or v18

Let me know

Hi Nicolas,

I went ahead and opened a ticket with Odoo's technical support regarding the system issue. As soon as I hear back from them, I'll let you know what solution they offer.

Thanks for your message.

Regards.
