The table that I am importing has a column that called "Version Numbers" that I want to set to a field I made called "Version". The Version field is set to take character values, in case the version contains more than just numbers, but in this table, the values are all numbers. When I try to select the field, only float-based fields come up as options, and the option to force all fields to be available is nowhere to be found. I am using Odoo 10.0 (Community Edition). I have tried using Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Safari. I even tried surrounding all of the numbers with quotation marks to specify them as strings, but it did not help.

What do I do to force Odoo to let me use "Version" as the field for "Version Numbers", since the checkbox that is supposed to do this is nowhere to be found?
