We have vendors with different stock locations, we both dropship and collect from these different locations. In SO we also specify transport cost for customer and it depends on where the goods will be collected/shipped from.

On solution i have found is to add a new vendor company for each stock location, add these as vendors on the product and with 3'rd party app choose which vendor to dropship from. Then i will get right pick up adress and delivery adress on the order.

I would like to have a virtual warehouse that represents all vendor stock locations, so i could choose which warehouse i want the goods to be sent / collected from.

Can someone suggest a sollution?

Thanks

Are the stocks at vendor location your company stock (consignee stock) or vendor stock that you require to buy with a PO?

If they are your company stock, you can create a virtual warehouse and have all warehouses (stock locations) as children locations of this virtual warehouse.

Yes, that is correct. The article addresses the delivery of products from different warehouses if the product was your company owned. It wouldn't kick-off a RFQ/ PO process.

I have edited the original answer and converted to a comment.

However, a similar concept could be to create a "Master Vendor" in contacts, while all your vendor stock locations are individual contacts for this contact (company). Set the stock locations as 'individual' with company 'Master Vendor' in contacts.

On SO confirmation a RFQ is created as your products have DS as route with "Master Vendor' as the vendor. Prior to confirming the PO you can modify the vendor by choosing the individual contact (stock location) that you wish to fulfill this order from.

This would avoid creating multiple vendors for all your products.
