Share contacts between CRM and Email Marketing?

Question

I'm totally new to Odoo (don't know what version—the one I got with the trial). What I hope to set up is a big set of contacts. Some of the contacts are business contacts that need to appear in the the CRM. Some of the contacts are Email Marketing newsletter recipients. Some of the contacts need to appear in both apps.
I found that I can send mails straight from the Contacts app, but it doesn't have the layout features from Email Marketing.

you can use filters in email marketing and filter contacts with different specific filters that you need and when you send the message it will appear in the contact's chatter.
You can also filter by leads/opportunities and regardless of whether they already have a contact in the system, the email marketing message will appear in the CRM chatter in the corresponding opportunity.

Hi Koos, you can access to all contatcs from Email Marketing app so, if you want to send emails using layout features you can do it without no limits from Email Marketing, if you want to filter those contacts on some condition you can do it using tags or whatever on those contacts:
