Hi. Coming from NetSuite so some of the naming conventions may be different. We have a pricing structure such that there is a published MSRP. We sell direct to customers at full MSRP. Our registered Dealers pay a Dealer Price for the product. It is not a direct discount off MSRP or a direct mark up on the product cost. It is arbitrary.

In addition to the arbitrary Dealer Price, we have trade-in pricing which is yet another price for the same product. I could make it such that Trade-In pricing is just a discount off Dealer or MSRP depending on the customer.

How do I set this up? Do I have classes of customers? Do I have the product in the system multiple times?

Hi Scott,

I think you can use the pricelists for this.

For Odoo 8.

Got to Settings -> Sale -> and check   Use pricelists to adapt your price per customers.

In the sales menu you have now access to the pricelists. For purchasing you have to do the same steps but than at purchases.

For Odoo 9

Go to the Sale menu -> Configuration -> Settings -> check  Advanced pricing based on formula

That sounds promising, but I don't see the section you speak of. I'm using Odoo Version 9.0-20151112. Would it be under Sales -> Settings? Then I see a section for "Sale Price" with options 1) A single sale price per product 2) Different prices per customer segment 3) Advanced pricing based on formula I don't see anything mentioning Pricelists specifically.

Hi Scot, Sorry I was still on the Odoo 8 mode. ;) I think the last options will work the best for you. (Advanced pricing based on formula) When checking this option a menu with pricelist will at Sale -> Configuration

Choice #2 worked best for me since we have a fixed price for the different price lists. Upvote for you! Thanks.
