How can we setup email accounts to reflect multiple email domain a user will need to use as well?

For example, user ABC might be part of company A and B and needs the following;

abc@a.com

abc@b.com

Especially for emails sent from the chatter and in a general way the whole outgoing email communication ?

Depending on the Odoo version you are using, you can solve this by implementing the OCA module: https://odoo-community.org/shop/email-gateway-multi-company-5474

and commplementarily if necessary: https://odoo-community.org/shop/mail-template-multi-company-5023

and expected out of the box for v16: Mail multi company with multi domain & servers.

Thanks for the proposed solutions. Unfortunately my customer is using v15.2 and I don't see it in the links you've sent me. Maybe you do have other doc ?

Hi Ricardo, did you get the chance to try out the out of the box solution for V16 ?

Hey Steven,

Odoo will use the mail from your user but it will indeed be the same in both companies. A workaround is to make two users (but then you need to purchase both) or make a "general" user where multiple people can log in on.

The best way I found for this is to define on the configuration of the email templates - used in company 2 - the other email address on the "From" field. So you go on your email template and define it under the "Email Configuration" tab.

When you send a mail, you can then choose the template with the right email from company 2. To ease this, you can set the template by default for this user or all users using the small green debug button on the top left of your template mail pop-up.

Same for the chatter, once you expand your message you can choose your template.

Hope this helps!
