I would like to have all of the meetings which are generated by the google calendar syncronization to default to a privacy setting of "only me"

Currently all meetings / events which are synchronized are created as "public" in my odoo calendar.

Is it possible to change this default? I have used the debug settings to make any newly created meeting in odoo a private event that is set to "only me" but this does not affect the incoming meetings from Google.

Any help would be really appreciated.

I have observed the same problem. Managers write down confidential information in the calendar, employees write down confidential information from customers.

I believe that the lack of synchronization of access rights completely excludes the use of the Odoo calendar in an organization that works on the Google platform.

Dear users and developers - do you have an effective solution to this problem?

Hi
Any updates on this subject?
When syncing from google or outlook, I would have 1000 of events added. Changing them all manually won't be an option.

My tests show it works in v14 at least.
And this seems to indicate that the privacy field is retrieved and synced from google: https://github.com/odoo/odoo/blob/13.0/addons/google_calendar/models/calendar.py#L17

You might want to inspect that same file for v14 to see the difference.
