Is there a module for OpenERP v7 availailable or around to produce sequential product number, every time a new product is added? With settings features as to set the starting number, length, combination of part numbers? Thanks for your support.

There is no such module in the certified addons.
The community maintained product_sequence addon does part of what you want. You will find it under in the openerp-product-attribute project.
