Sell A service as a Variant

Question

Hi. Im trying to wrap my head around our scenario
We do repairs and here is out operation. We create a sale order with the product we are going to repair for the customer. Since we are not selling the product but the service for that. Is there a way to make a variant and that will get selected as a service? Like a popup where the sales person will type a price for the service?

You maybe want to consider using the Repairs App, here you can create a repair order for a specific product (variant) while selling the service product as operation to be performed. Also include/ exclude parts that you might track using inventory.

Hi Pete Charalampopoulos,
It would be better that you create a service (for example: Repair laptop) with the Product type: Service and there you can set a Sales Price.
Also, when you create a Sales Order you can modify the Unit Price for each individual repair if you want.
