I'm using Odoo's POS & Inventory apps - running a small grocery store. All back end search fields only require part of the item name, the search field in the POS system requires the entire correct name (which sometimes is just too much to type in and can vary slightly). Once searched for correctly with the full name it goes directly into the cashier/receipt area - as opposed to showing up in the product area and then choosing it with a click - is there anyway around this? Is there a way to make it filter the search results from entering the partial name and then choosing the specific product?
(Barcode system not running, so it's all manual)

Thanks for the reply Dhivya, the thing is it does the 'partial name' in all other areas except the front end of the POS System ... if you enter partial names in the search there it does nothing, if you put the full name in the item automatically gets added to the 'receipt' area on the left of the screen, it seems in the front end there is no filtering possible. There are no other 3rd part apps installed.

Odoo will show the relevant products, while we enter their name partially. Please check whether any third party modules installed.. The above issue may caused by third party module.. If you installed any third party module uninstall it and check. Hope this useful!
