Hi all,
I would like to use binary fields in openerp, but instead of save them to the database as usual, I'd like to save to file system. I could use a char field to store the path but, is there a way to implement the upload and download for it?

binary fields import problem means see this link https://accounts.openerp.com/forum/Help-1/question/16899#16906 otherwise install the base module "Document Management System" if u install this module all the form Attachment option will come. try it.
