I want to know the total value of my stock in my inventory but odoo only has cost price option. How can I get total value of products using sales price and inventory quantity
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Accounting
- Inventory
- PoS
- Project
- MRP

The question is misunderstood, person is asking valuation based on selling price instead of cost price. All costing methods and Inventory --> Reporting --> Stock is based on cost price.
one [bad] workaround in my mind is to make a temporary sales bill of all the products!
another better way- export sales price and quantity in hand of all products [view all products in list view and export] and manually calculate in spreadsheet by multiplying and adding the two columns of sales price and quantity.
another much better way- if you group the products according to product type or category in list view then it shows subtotals of sales price for each group, just add those subtotals.
Hello Wilson,
It depends on your costing method.
The costing method is defined in the product categories. For more details, check: click here.
In case the product valuation is zero, kindly check the product costing method.
Maybe the product cost is zero.
Thanks.
Thanks for the help. But why is the total value zero
In Inventory --> Reporting --> Stock
here you can get current stock report of products and where you can get Unit Cost, Total Value, On Hand, Free to Use, Incoming, Outgoing, Forecasted
details and if you want to export then in left top their is option to export in one click and all done.
