Hi,
I'm looking for a new software for my company and I THINK odoo might work but I certainly can't seem to figure it out. I'm using the online version, trial started a couple days ago so I assume it's the most recent version.
Our clients provide us all materials and work orders (sales order in Odoo, I assume), we simply complete them and bill them. Sometimes the line items vary from the original work order. It's apparently not a very common workflow.
I'm hoping to find a way to create a "sales order" with multiple lines of items (service items) and some documents that must make it into the task, turn that into *one single task* that displays each line item (including qty) and the documents in the mobile app when our techs pull it up, then ideally they can edit/remove line items and finally a supervisor can turn that completed task into an invoice.
This could be done in the inverse as well, turning a multi-line "task" into an invoice. The invoice doesn't need those documents.
Each client we have is essentially a multi-year or never-ending "project" (sometimes multiple projects), so I do not want to create a new project for each "sales order".
We are currently using ZOHO Projects for $10/user/mo but can't get this functionality. If we can get it with Odoo, we could switch.
