I am trying to create a sales report and a new dashboard that reports the sales from a franchise group and a dropship customer.
Two Examples:
Widget Company (company) - Head office
New York Widgets (company - Franchise
Brian Smith (contact)
We have to put the sale under Brian, so the shipping company has all of the delivery info. If there are 150 Franchises, I have not been able to select the top level company to run a report on the franchise performance. When using the pivot table and selecting customer, it reports on each sales from each contact and if I select company, it gives me the name of our own company. Each franchise has it's own invoice address, so I can't select that is the common denominator. I want to be able to report at the top level of the structure.
The second example is:
Major Retailer (company)
B2C customer drop ship (contact)
If we have a 1000 deliveries to individuals, we need to be able to report at the top level, I assume this can be done at the invoice address level, but it doesn't solve the one above.
Looking forward to seeing how others handle company reports with branches and franchises.
