Can not create printed report (qWeb PDF).

I've created primitive module for test with one model '_testrep.rent' with one field 'name'

I've created report.xml:

<odoo>

<data>

    <report

        id="report_rent"

        name="_testrep.report_rent_view"

        model="_testrep.rent"

        string="Test Report"

        report_type="qweb-pdf" />



    <template id="report_rent_view">

        <h2>test report</h2>

    </template>

</data>

</odoo>

declared it in __manifest__.py

every trying to print brings to error

full error description in log file gives me nothing:

Can not solve this problem for several days, please help someone.

Problem resolved strange way. I've installed custom module, it installed some dependences, and reports began to work. Dependencies is 'Discuss', 'Contacts' and 'Fleet'. Thus absolutely not clear, what it was.

maybe too late, but if someone else get this error.

As the message says

report: (<type 'exceptions.KeyError'>, KeyError('report',),

your modules needs to depend on report, so in your manifest file you must put something like this:

'depends': ['base', 'report'],

Module name in manifest is _testrep, "technical name" in odoo interface is "_testrep" too

I've added attribute file same as name, but nothing works

Hi Mihail,

Make sure that your module name is _testrep , the name of the report is given like this module_name.report_name.

        id="report_rent"
        name="module_name.report_name"
        file="module_name.report_name" #name for the downloaded file
         model="model_name"
        string="Test Report"
        report_type="qweb-pdf" />
