Hi, I am using Odoo v13 EE on our own servers. I have followed multiple popular tutorials to set a reordering rule on an existing product, but no RFQ is generated.


For example, I have product X with quantity 10 on hand. Then I create a reordering rule with a minimum quantity of 15 and a maximum 30. Then I run the scheduler manually. But no RFQ/PO is generated.


Am I missing something? Thank you.

do we can set different time periods to run schedluler for RFQ's. or do we have to do it manually visiting purchase App

Hello Tushar,

I am sharing you the steps to create the re-ordering rule.

Step- 01, Product X has 10 on hand qty, and Min-15 , and Max-30 is set on re-ordering rule & set the vendor from Purchase tab.


Step -02, Run the scheduler now , and Goto Purchase module and check the RFQ, you can check via source document.


I Hope now you will be able to create the RFQ/PO.

Hi! I have the same problem. I am trying to generate a RFQ from a reordering rule (RR) , but it does not generate anything when I run the scheduler. I check the RR and vendors in the product and it is ok. I have tried for a long time but nothing happens

Follow up question: I have product Y with 20 quantity. I create a delivery order from the Inventory module that will send 5 quantity to a customer location. How can I set up a reordering rule which will be triggered after this delivery? Specifically, what should be the minimum and maximum quantity? Thanks!

Hello Tushar,

for this create a re-ordering rule with Min qty as 14 or less than 15, and Max 30( or as per you requirement) then run a scheduler it will create a RFQ.
