I was able to remove those things from Odoo 8, but I can't seem to find how to remove the "powered by odoo" on the bottom left hand and also some of the items that appear on the top right hand when you move the cursor over the user name. For example "My odoo.com account" etc.
Is there any view in charge of those things I should edit? Any tip will be appreciated!

I'm not sure for v9 but I believe there is a ported addon app that is used for complete debranding. You can search for it on the Apps menu under settings, search for debrand. Can't look it for you right now because I'm on my phone.
Also do a separate search for views with each of these keywords: odoo, footer, web
With those you should find every view that has Odoo somewhere. The powered by is within one of the footers.
