Team,

I have following questions regarding Apps purchase from Odoo app store. Can anyone help me to get to know  this?

  1. If any issues in installing the apps purchased from Odoo apps store, to whom we have to contact? The person who owned? or Odoo community?

  2. Can we change the source code if any customization required on top of purchased app?

  3. If any bugs in purchased app, to whom we have to contact to fix?

  4. How long will we get the support for the purchased app?

  5. One who purchase the app will get the ownership after purchase is done. Am i Correct?

Please Help us to understand.

Hi,

1. If you met any issue in the purchased app, you can contact the author of the module, suppose if you bought a module from XYZ and if it is not working, you can contact the XYX team and tell them about the issue, if they are not responding you can send a mail to apps@odoo.com.  Once you purchase the module, on the link you are getting for downloading the module itself, there is some information on the same.

2. It depends upon the license given for the module. Better to create another module and give this module as a dependent module for it.

3. You Can contact the author of the module. If not getting any support from their side, there is an option to ask for a refund.

4. Normally module publishers in the index file itself about how long they provide the support for it. If you check the Odoo App Store Refund Policy, you can see that Claims for refund is allowed within the next two months after the purchase.

5. One who purchases the app will not get the ownership of the app, he will become authorized to use the module.
