In my business I have products that I send out to other stores on consignment. However I find some of the documentation not clear on how to set it up. How I read it is in Odoo you  are taking in and storing someone elses product and then either you can sell it or deliver it. I found nothing on my products being sold in another store

Thank you

Yes, the documentation details the process to manage and sell others' (vendors) stock from your company.

To store and sell your products by resellers (store), you would need to

1. Create locations / warehouses (each have their specific implication, e.g. landed costs can be added for WH transfer) for each reseller.

2. Replenish products at these location with Internal transfers

3. Register sale by reseller by creating Sale Order and ensure to deliver the products from that specific location or warehouse. (Source Location on delivery order)

I must say this community is amazing with getting answers to people. Thank you very much

That all makes sense, but how about getting paid by the consignee? how does invoicing work with consignment? does odoo just assume I will be responsible for manually maintaining the "inventory" based on the sales reports ive been given by them? or is there some fancy method for approaching this? I would like to be able to track payments by product. this is important for me because I pay royalties for some of my products based on the product sale price.
