I now have a multi-company configuration with OpenERP where one company is a daughter company of the second one. When I make quotations on behalf of the daughter company they're using the same sequence for quotation number as the second company.
Is there a way to associate a new sequence to create numbers for quotations for a daughter company?
You have to make a sequence for the daughter company too. To make a new sequence, go to Settings -> Technical -> Sequences & Identifiers -> Sequences -> create a new sequence for every company in your multi-company environment, don't forget to define a company on each sequence.
Agree with you. This will work as every company will have their own sequence.
