Is there any way to mass update multiple records (e.g. make inactive multiple partners at once)

Using some other crm applications I've used a feature which gave me the ability to select multiple records (e.g. Accounts, Contacts, Projects etc) and 'Mass Update' some chosen fields.

This way you could add a tag, change the 'type' or the 'status' for multiple records at once. This feature would be a real time saver and could help finding a solution to other questions like this one:
How to make inactive the contacts that belong to inactive companies

Is there any simillar feature in Odoo? If not, is there any workarround? Where should I look if I would like to try to implement something like this?

You can search for ther Mass Editing module of Serpent CS.

You will be able to update massively data by creating a button for the field you want.

Very useful !

Yeah, sure, please follow this link : https://www.odoo.com/apps/7.0/mass_editing/

Unfortunately, I only see it for V7 for the moment... please check on Git hub...

Thanks Pierre. I'll try this and get back with feedback about if it worked or not.
