Hey team, i have a similar issue but its regarding the product volume for shipping purposes.

We run a small ecommerce store and ship products worldwide with DHL Express which we have sucessfully connected.

Odoo 17 defaults to m3 for the voume inside the product under Logisitcs - inventory
I have a small item weighing 150grams and roughly 20x30x4cm this is 0.002m3 

When i enter 0.002m3 into the Volume field and hit enter it just cancels it out and resets to 0.00.
How can i get odoo to keep longer numbers?

Alternatively changing to cm3 would be great too, but i'd rather keep it simple and stick with default settings. can anyone point me in the right direction?

I need the volume of the product so when we ship 10 pieces for example the shipping will update to the next/larger box size and appropriately increase shipping costs.

Under settings - top menu bar TECHNICAL - DATABAES STRUCTURE - DECIMAL ACCURACY change value from 2 to 3.

Thats worked for me.

In the above image there is a volume in the inventory module not the general information. I need to change that volume UOM to cm3. Right now it is m3 by default.

Currently, as you said we have only cubic meters (m³) and cubic feet (ft³). you can add a new UOM like this In odoo 16.

Goto Inventory -> configurations ->Unit of measure Categories -> Select volume and add the new line item cm³

Now in the products you can select the newly added UOM.
